Elevator Pitch:

AugHog Products manufactures quality American Made products for Swimming Pools, Beach, Boating and Fishing.

Tell us about your business, what inspired you to get into it, what you sell/service you offer, what makes your business stand out and how it impacts you, your community or the environment.

AugHog products was started on market demand. I started out with what is now called our AugAnchor which is an auger based product used for shallow water anchoring. Back in 2010 our product was discovered by boaters who saw my wife and I using our product at the beach and wanted to know where they could buy a set. From there I started making a few sets for our friends, and then their friends saw them, and that is where we really started. One of our brands teaches younger generations how to fish.

How would you use the FedEx Small Business Grant money to make a significant impact on your business?

The FedEx small business grant would help give us the big break we need to expand. I have tried to keep everything we can have made in the USA, made in the USA. Tooling and equipment costs make it very hard to expand without overextending credit lines to make it happen. I could likely get cheaper molds made in other countries, but I would like to keep the money in the USA so other companies can grow their dreams as well. I appreciate this opportunity that can greatly help us grow.
